The story
The challenge
The company ran on two servers in a cupboard, backed up to a drive someone took home on Fridays. A hardware failure would have stopped shipments for days.
The approach
Everything inventoried and rehearsed on a copy before the cutover date was set. The move itself was scheduled for a weekend with a tested rollback, and nothing was decommissioned until the new environment had run a full week.
What we built
Workloads on managed cloud with automated backups and monitoring, a firewall in front of it, and a monthly management fee in place of an annual hardware gamble.
